Guesty Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Integration
Bookkeepers who work inside Guesty and QuickBooks Online every month, for vacation rental managers who want the two to agree.
Guesty runs your reservations, owners and payouts. QuickBooks Online holds the company books your CPA works from. If you use both, most of the month-end work is in the gap between them.
We close that gap every month: payouts reconciled to the bank, expenses synced with matching names, and owner statements that tie back to the ledger before they go out by the 5th.
Who This Is For
Vacation rental management companies that run Guesty as their property management system and keep company books in QuickBooks Online. Our 70-property case study is exactly this setup.

What Guesty Connect Syncs to QuickBooks, and What It Does Not
Guesty's own help article on connecting QuickBooks says you must subscribe to the Guesty Connect add-on before you can connect the integration. It describes the sync for expense management: when you create a new expense in QuickBooks, Guesty imports it as a manual expense, and the vendor name and category must match exactly in both systems for the sync to work. Guesty records synced purchases as charges to the property management company (Guesty Help Center).
That article does not describe reservations, payouts or owner statements flowing into QuickBooks. Those still need a monthly reconciliation, which is the work we do. The step-by-step version is in Guesty to QuickBooks: what syncs and how to close the month.
Accounting by Guesty vs QuickBooks
Guesty also sells Accounting by Guesty, a paid add-on that creates journal entries for every transaction, uses a Guesty chart of accounts, produces white-labeled owner statements, and exports data to your accounting software (Guesty blog).
Many managers still keep QuickBooks Online as the company ledger because that is where their CPA, payroll and bank feeds live. In that setup the job is keeping the two in agreement every month.

Owner Statements From Guesty
A 150-property manager was building owner statements in Excel, spending 40 or more hours a month and paying owners on the 20th. We moved them to Guesty native owner statements with standard templates and a QA review, corrected 18 months of historical errors worth $24,000, and brought delivery forward to the 5th.
